Voters can currently vote 22 days before Election Day.  Please be advised that "early voting" is not 'absentee ballot" voting.  there are major differences and our website is here to help you understand the difference.

Who can vote?


To be eligible to register to vote in the next election, you must be a United States citizen, be 18 years of age by election day and be a resident of the district for 30 days immediately prior to that date.

 

Where do I register to vote?


You can register to vote at your local city hall or municipal office, your county clerk's office, the U.S. Post office, Illinois driver's license facilities and at many local banks and libraries.

 

What identification do I need to register?


When you register to vote you will be asked for two forms of ID with your name and address on it. Only one of your forms of ID can be a piece of mail addressed to you.

 

When can I register to vote?


You can register to vote any time
of year except twenty-eight days before the election, and two days after the election.
