Friends and NeighborsOur district has a rich history of cultural and ethnic diversity. Our neighbors are welcoming revitalization which has increased property values and paved the way for more affordable housing for our families in need. In the city of Chicago our communities are centrally located where we have vintage housing stock and access to two mass transit lines which made our communities attractive to investors, retailers and industrial companies. Please join me in continuing to work as a community where we pride public safety for all residents. I have pledged my commitment to the reconnecting neighborhoods project a feasibility study which will provide recommendations identifying transit and retail improvements. I am committed to ensuring the retention of local retail business, the industrial corridor and the continual attraction of more economic opportunities to the 5th district. Increasing business viability will stimulate the local economy and create more job opportunities. With your willingness to allow me to serve you, I am fully committed to serving the residents of the 5th district and will dedicate my serve toward improving the quality of life for all residents.
